Anything Goes Karaoke got its start at the Cadillac Ranch back in August of 2006. Back then, the show was attended by a handful of people and had no direction as I took the reins.
In Feburary of 2007, I made the decision to revamp the show to include regular Theme Nights and contests. The first contests were merely for trinkets like shirts, hats, and keychains– but I decided to add some money to the pot soon afterwards and went with constantly changing themes for each contest.
Since then, AGK has evolved into a rather unusual karaoke event. There’s lots of singing, but also plenty of humor, sound clips, awards and recognition, and now a full-blown online interactivity effort which includes internet destinations on MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter… plus a standalone blog website that lists show recaps, news, and more.
AGK thrives on a combination of a core group of people who keep the show going and new faces who experience the show for the first time and keep coming back. From AGK veteran legends like Denise and Ryan to familiar faces like Stephanie, Noelle, and Kim, to newer additions like Diana, Jay, and Kelli… the AGK family is truly a special one and we welcome all comers.
